Getting started

How do I get into Targaet?

Targaet is invite-only. Someone in a household — or the person who set it up — invites you by email. Open the invite link, set a password, and you’re in. There’s no cold sign-up; if you don’t have an invite yet, ask whoever manages your household to add you, or request access from the home page.

I’m signed in but I don’t see any data

That means your sign-in works but you’re not yet a member of a household. Ask the household’s admin to invite the email address you signed in with. Until then there’s nothing to show — Targaet only shows you the household you belong to.

Which app do I use?

Targaet runs as a mobile app (iOS and Android) and a web dashboard. Both point at the same household, so anything you record in one shows up in the other in about half a second.

Signing in

I forgot my password

On the sign-in screen, choose Forgot passwordand enter your email. We’ll send you a reset link. If it doesn’t arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder, then email support@targaet.app.

Face ID / fingerprint unlock isn’t working

Biometric unlock is handled by your device, not by us — Targaet only receives a yes/no result. If it stops working, make sure biometrics are still enabled in your device settings, then sign in with your email and password and turn it back on under Settings.

Using the app

An entry I recorded is wrong

You can edit, delete, or split any transaction you can see. Open the transaction and choose the action you need. Deletes are permanent, and the household’s running balance updates automatically.

Smart Prompts and location

Smart Prompts — the gentle nudge to log what you spent when you leave a saved place — is off by default. You turn it on under Settings → Smart prompts, where the app explains it and asks for location permission. You can turn it off, or revoke location permission in your device settings, at any time.

Receipt photos

Attach a photo to any transaction and everyone in your household can see it on that entry — and no one outside it. We don’t scan or analyse receipts; they’re only ever shown back to you.

Your account and data

Leaving a household

Go to Settings → Account → Leave account. You’re removed immediately. Transactions you previously recorded stay with the household for the remaining members.

Deleting your account

Go to Settings → Sign out, then email privacy@targaet.appto request account deletion. We’ll permanently delete your authentication record, profile, memberships, and any household where you were the only remaining member, within 30 days.

Exporting your data

Email privacy@targaet.appand we’ll send you a machine-readable export within 30 days. For the full picture of what we collect and how it’s handled, see our Privacy Policy.
